We hope these questions and answers will help explain who we are and what we do.
If there are any questions unanswered please contact us:1. We’ve heard this all before – why is Sure Start different?
Because Sure Start wants parents and their local communities to get directly involved in running their local Sure Start programme. It’s your chance to tell the government what you want to make life better for you and your children, rather than the government telling you what you’re going to get!
2. What's in it for me?
- A chance to get out, meet people and make new friends.
- A chance to shape your children’s future.
- A chance to be in at the start of something big. There are now 524 local Sure Start programmes across the country, helping up to 400,000 children. Millions of pounds are being devoted to improving the lives of our children, now and in the future.
3. Is it just for parents and carers?
No. Childminders, playgroups, resident associations and others are all welcome to have their say. We want everybody who has an interest in families with young children to become involved.
